De lo contrario, se pierde el ritmo y en primavera toca volver a empezar desde cero. Pero quien se adentra en el fr\u00edo de la ma\u00f1ana o la tarde, ver\u00e1 que le falta el aire despu\u00e9s de correr pocos metros. Y en ese momento muchas personas se preguntan si correr cuando hace fr\u00edo es saludable. Otro peligro son las placas de hielo que surgen con las bajas temperaturas, y que hacen que salir a correr suponga el riesgo de resbalarse. El riesgo de acatarrarse o lesionarse es por lo tanto especialmente alto en invierno.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"western\">Lo que sucede en el cuerpo al correr con fr\u00edo<\/h2>\n<p>Muchos deportistas de resistencia suelen presentar problemas con la respiraci\u00f3n durante las sesiones de carrera con aire fr\u00edo. Esto se debe a que las v\u00edas respiratorias se agotan, enfr\u00edan y secan mucho por el aire fr\u00edo. La consecuencia es que los corredores se ven obligados a respirar m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido e incluso a toser. En ocasiones se habla tambi\u00e9n del \u00abasma del fr\u00edo\u00bb o del \u00abasma inducida por el esfuerzo\u00bb. En este caso la personas con enfermedades cr\u00f3nicas del coraz\u00f3n y las v\u00edas respiratorias se ven especialmente afectadas.<\/p>\n<p>Al respirar por la boca, el aire helado llega adem\u00e1s a los pulmones casi sin calentarse. Con ello aumenta a su vez el riesgo de infecciones.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, con las temperaturas bajas, la piel, el tejido conjuntivo, los tendones y las articulaciones muestran una peor circulaci\u00f3n sangu\u00ednea. Esto hace que sean menos el\u00e1sticos y m\u00e1s propensos a las lesiones. El pulso se acelera y el cuerpo necesita m\u00e1s energ\u00eda<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"western\">\u00bfEs peligroso para la salud correr cuando hace fr\u00edo?<\/h2>\n<p>Para esta pregunta existen distintas respuestas. Mientras que algunos opinan que con las bajas temperaturas no existe ning\u00fan problema para salir a correr, para otros la inseguridad que supone es muy alta. Lo que s\u00ed est\u00e1 claro es que las v\u00edas respiratorias podr\u00edan irritarse mucho por efecto del aire fr\u00edo. Esto puede provocar r\u00e1pidamente tos o incluso una bronquitis. Los deportistas m\u00e1s motivados que deseen continuar con su entrenamiento habitual en invierno, sin realizar ninguna pausa, tienden a subestimar las consecuencias en la salud.<\/p>\n<p><u>La regla de oro<\/u> es que cuando la temperatura sea extremadamente baja (entre -8 y -15 grados) y se tengan bronquios sensibles, se aumente la precauci\u00f3n. De lo contrario el cuerpo no podr\u00e1 calentar el aire respirado lo suficiente, antes de que llegue a los pulmones.
