The cardiostrong Incline Treadmill IT70 is a versatile treadmill for classic walks and runs but with a steep incline and even a decline feature. The IT70 is surprisingly compact for a treadmill that offers a steep incline of up to 40% and decline of -3%, yet its running surface of 140 × 50 cm allows for safe and comfortable cardio workouts with an emphasis on strengthening the lower body muscles.

The incline greatly increases the effectiveness of workouts since it places a higher demand on both the cardio-vascular system as well as muscles in the leg and glutes. Adjusting the gradient can greatly increase and decrease the intensity of a workout without changing the speed. This makes extreme hill climbs a time-efficient, fat-burning and strength-building addition to classic cardio workouts.

The 2.5-hp (continuous) motor runs at speeds between 0.8 and 16 km/h that can be set in 0.1-km/h increments. Quick-select buttons allow you to conveniently jump directly to speeds of 4, 8 or 12 km/h and inclines of 10, 20 or 30%. The upper handrail also features buttons to adjust the speed and incline as well as hand contact sensors to monitor your heart rate. Your most important exercise data is clearly displayed on the console where you can also select from 20 pre-installed training programmes including heart rate controlled and custom workout settings.

The IT70 is well equipped with practical extras. Aside from the hand contact sensors, you can also use a separate chest strap to monitor your heart rate. A large tablet tray can hold a multimedia device for watching videos while you work out. The IT70 Incline Treadmill’s compact dimensions of 154 × 93 × 162 cm make it ideal for use in areas with limited space, and built-in wheels help with repositioning it for storage.
